Alythia was born in Portugal. She met Balthazar Cowley, both fell madly in love, but because he was a vampire he decided to turn her, after she agreed to the idea, knowing that they would stay together. He turned her and they started their life together, marrying some time afterwards. As Alythia is very protective in her nature, she is his first guardian and has saved him many times in the past due to her high intelligence and infallible empathy. She is a fearless and brave warrior when needed. She was one of the first supporters of Great Rasputin and persuaded Balthazar to move with her to Russia in order to be able to learn from the Great Lord, as she called him. She became his apprentice and found his teachings in the arts of healing and magic quite interesting.
She is most proud of and loves the fact that she is able to help her lover. She has eidetic memory and still takes pride in being Portuguese, often cooking Portuguese food for her lover and any guests he invites.
